Fourteen and Counting!

We celebrated our anniversary this week by going out last night. While we awaited the babysitters (thanks, Jenny & Lauren!) we sat on our brand new front steps (thanks, John & Jay!). Josie picked out the right nail polish to go with my dress & shoes, but Simon was too busy working on a porch design for the neighbors across the street to weigh in on such matters.


When we got home from dinner at Campagne and a fabulous show at the Triple Door featuring a Led Zeppelin cover band and a troupe of burlesque dancers (trust us, it worked), we found kids & sister crashed out, and our kitchen windows decorated in a most festive manner. This morning the artists agreed to pose with their creation:


Neither Andrew nor I were entirely willing to accept Simon's interpretation of our physiques, but we loved that they did this! We are both delighted to find we've made it this far; proud of these two loving, thoughtful, creative, powerful kids; and eager to see what the next fourteen years have in store.
