Capricornucopia!

January seemed to be a whirl of birthdays -- Spring Fever Babies, I guess. We celebrated as many as we could in a wide range of venues, from jolly Happy Hours in trendy bars to quiet last-minute dinners to sledding parties at Snoqualmie Pass to breezy Facebook shout-outs. One of our favorites was a wild jam-packed neighborhood bashment, where we ran into: a guy who was finishing up a motorcycle tour that involved visiting every major league baseball stadium in the country, a long-lost friend who is something of a celebrity at our house on account of the ginormous water gun he invented, and a spontaneous basement band whose Amazing-Grace-Saints-Go-Marching-In-Swing-Low medley gave us goosebumps.

Most recently we gathered at Full Tilt to celebrate John's First Eighteen Years (the Second Eighteen Years festivities occurred later that evening). Simon joined the Beattles Wii band:

So here's to all of you January babies -- whether we made it to your parties or happened upon them randomly or sent good wishes from afar or only found out after the fact -- we're very glad you were born!
