Many thanks to Elizabeth Maher for alerting us to this exhibition just before it closed, and to MadArt for (as the mission says) "bringing art into our lives in unexpected ways" -- can't wait to see what you folks do next! And of course, to all the artists involved... with maybe an extra shot of WOW to Jason Puccinelli and Elizabeth Potter, creators of those crazy glowing globes... each one so beautiful and mysterious, floating there in the dark dining room... but wasn't 'til you found your way around the room to stand in exactly the right place, that it suddenly all made sense.

If You Stand in Just the Right Place, It All Makes Sense
We dropped by MadArt's latest exhibition on Capitol Hill the other day: "Mad Homes" consisted of four houses, slated for demolition, transformed by artists in their final days (the houses' final days, that is, not the artists'!). I didn't manage to document even a third of the amazing things that were going on inside and outside these homes -- but you can check out the pictures on the project's web site. Here's the part that made it into our camera, at least:

That was way cool. Where'd you find the music? It was perfect! I too loved the globes in the dining room, but also the lady on the stairway had a similar effect.
