Today's distinguished affair went off without a hitch, reflecting years of practice on the part of planners & participants. Invitations went out at noon. A cake was baked and decorated...
...and then redecorated at the request of the groom, who was unwilling to be represented by anyone with a flower on his head, no matter how dude-like the rest of his attire.
Rings were chosen, carefully packaged in tissue-paper, mislaid, and found again. Simon's black silk Nehru jacket made a most welcome appearance. Punch was prepared. Girl Scout Cookies and orange slices were carefully arranged. A seating chart was negotiated and plates labeled accordingly. A ring-bearer was cast and costumed, but bowed out at the eleventh hour.
Finally the moment of truth arrived. Bride & groom exchanged vows & rings,
cut the cake,
and cut the rug.
Menna tossed her single cherry blossom bouquet,
And a glorious time was had by all.
And if that wasn't enough excitement for one day, Robo learned to bowl!
