P.S. It Worked.

What we have here is a boy who really, really, really wants Joe the cat to come up into the treehouse with him, and has only been persuaded by bald threats that carrying the 25 lb cat up the ladder does not fall within our admittedly sketchy treehouse safety parameters.

Note boy in too-small pajamas and red baseball cap, stretched out peering over the edge of the platform.

Note tangle of green yarn dangling enticingly over the ladder. You can't tell, but it's being wiggled in a most intriguing manner.

Note Joe the cat looking vaguely interested but definitely earth-bound.

All we can say is: Miracles happen.
