Guess Who Mikala Met Yesterday?

Give up? It's Governor Albert Rosellini (Washington, 1957-1965). He's 98 and very dashing. His office walls are completely plastered with certificates and plaques and photos of him with everyone from Sinatra to JFK to Ben-Gurion. There are piles of campaign buttons and matchbooks and official gavels and that fancy kind of pen you sign bills into law with, everywhere you look.

After the interview -- for an exhibit on Rainier Valley Politicians for the historical society -- we asked if we could take his picture and he said "Sure! But I have to tell you it's been done before."
