(Before we got to the fish ladder we spotted these, which we would very much like to replicate on the Orca playground. Pretty please?)
The coho were in fine form (though not jumping much today). Remember, these fish are heading back upstream from the Pacific Ocean, through the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Puget Sound, up the Ballard Fish Ladder, through Lake Union and the Montlake Cut, and on to spawn and die in the rivers and streams that feed Lake Washington. (And you thought your life was a struggle.) We took lots of greenish video footage, which we will share with you momentarily. Alas, controversy has since arisen at our house regarding the proper soundtrack for said footage. So we are asking you to weigh in. (Or make your own suggestions!) Please vote in the SALMON SONG SURVEY at right. Polls close Sunday, September 28th at midnight. Thank you.

while the hilarity of option one almost won me over, at the end of the day, i'm just a sap.
i vote # 2
I vote # 1. With the lyrics it seems vaguely like the salmon are singing, which I find disturbing.
the fish totally seem like they are singing the little "doo doo" metallic part in #1.
